Alyssia had been gone for quite a while now, and Jack decided it was time to see if something was wrong. "Jonas, I'm gonna go look for Alyssia, I'm starting to get worried." And then he left the room. He began to search the building for any sign of her, checking every room and corner for a trace. As he passed a broken window something caught his eye, a black shape outside. As he looked out the window he saw Alyssia in his coat.... and the strange woman that he had shot before. "Damn it! We shouldn't of stayed here so long." He drew his rifle and aimed it out the window, but the woman, she was... hugging Alyssia? This was both confusing and an inconvenience to Jack, he was still a novice with his rifle, even if it were just the woman he might not be able to successfully hit, and with her so close to Alyssia. He couldn't take the risk. He thought about calling Jonas, but he was some distance away, and if he called then the woman surely would too. He could run back and try to get Jonas quickly, but what if something happened in the time that he would be gone? In that time the two could of moved to a different building entirely, or Alyssia could be killed! The only thing that Jack could do was just watch, and wait. Wait for the right time to take the shot...

    Location defies explaination...
Jonas crouched by the fire, content in his mistaken belief that all was at peace for the time being, and slowly chewed on a piece of salted meat: a commodity he had come across a week ago in an old shack a couple miles from the city. Having been chased for a mile by a mutant animal, and now pursued by several more, he ran into eh rickety building, there to hide at least until he would not be eaten the moment he left. Upon searching it, however, he not only found a good buckets' worth of nails for his weapon, but a number of slabs of heavily salted jerky.
Darkness crept over him as he reminisced findings of old, and before long he found himself once more drifting into the void. Unable to fight it any longer, he let the black take him, until again he fell asleep, totally unaware of what was going on not so far from him.
