plot idea: in a freak occurance across each ninja nation, elemental chakra has collected into masses of pure sentience. five shinobi, have been unwillingly possessed by massive amounts of elemental chakra, sealing itself inside those ninja in an effort to remain in existance. these are the pure being of each element collecting into it's own form. each possessed ninja holds unimaginable power, and everyone wants to harness it for themselves, as they are potentially more powerful than the bijuu (which may not exist, depending on others' preferences). however, the elements have other ideas. now they are missing nin, roaming their lands, in search of an unknown goal. should they unite, they will bring about the wrath of the sage of the six paths, as he will once again walk upon the ninja lands. unfortunately, in accordance with the massive amount of energy collected, wherever they go, regular chakra beings are forming in aspiration of the elemental beings. essentially smaller, more numerous, weaker bijuu (with no specific tail number needed) they attempt to possess ninja who appeal to whatever nature they may have. eventually, due to mass numeration, the massive amount of new jinchuriki grows to become a problem, and they become segregated from regular ninja. regular ninja are to hunt down all and any jinchuriki they see, thus bringing about a new ninja war... but this is not a fight. this is a hunt. the five kages vs. the five elements. all regular ninja vs. all jinchuriki ninja. pick your side. jinchuriki, (or possibly a sympathiser) or a regular ninja, trying to prevent the wrath of the sage of the six paths.

this is purely a suggestion, feel free to ignore it or change it in anyway you wish. because it's not a normal ninja war, most life will continue on as normal, only with battles and campaigns occasionally. or to add twists, you might even create forbidden friendships between jinchuriki and OCs. i hope this has been helpful. ^^ also, the pseudo jinchuriki are only more powerful than regular ninja in that they have sightly more chakra, but another mind in your head becomes quite annoying, as a downside.
