dont like google chrome due to privacy issues![]()
I know what you're thinking, "a web browser that is better than firefox? yeah right"
well there is... well i guess, "better," isn't a good word for it though
they are both good in their own way.
FireFox is nice because it is open source and thus, has a lot of features that you can add but it is still slow compared to the browser I use
I use Google Chrome and why I love it so much is because it is faster, it used less ram, when you open a tab, it doesn't make the ram usage bigger, it infact keeps the ram usage low because it registers as just a linked sub program, it has google search fixed into its address bar so if you want to find something, just type it up there and it'll take you to google search, and last, i looks very sleek(yes, i had to throw in the way it looks)
so far, the only thing I can even consider complaining about is that it is a newer Browser so very rarely, you will find a site that is not supported by it.(i found like two in the year i've been using this)
Now sure, FireFox is not a bad browser and I still use it on rare occasions(like four times since I started using this) but chrome I have found to be better... in my opinion
here is a simple info ranking using the three top browsers(not including Apples Safari(which i might add is the best browser ever when used on a mac but the worst in history on a microsoft run computer)):
First, the original, I.E.:
---When it come to speed.... I.E. gets a big FAIL!!!! it is slow, clunky, and half the time, you spend more time waiting for the page to load than actually on the page. ZERO out of ten
---When is comes to the ability to customize it. For a normal user, good luck... but if you know how, you can change quite a bit of the way it looks so I can't complain to much... of course, not many people care... which gives it around 4/10
---As for OpenSource capabilities, we wish.... oh we so wish 0/10
---It's search function got better with the release of the newest I.E. version but it is still not as good as just going to a search site and searching there so not much I can say... leaving an ok 6.5/10
---Being user friendly is really the only thing going for it. Even a child could get on it and be able to use it to its (almost not existent) full potential... 8/10
Now for the great FireFox:
---When it comes to speed, in a race between FireFox and I.E.... its no contest. FireFox is more than twice as fast as I.E. and thus it is like comparing a snail to a rabbit.... do I need to say more? on a scale of one to ten, I give FF a nice 7.5... compared to I.E.'s big fat ZERO!
---Customizing FF is really easy due to it's OpenSource Capabilities which is one of the reason's FF is so amazing, if you find something wrong, just fix it yourself. Customization on FF gets a nice 10/10
---OpenSource is the reason FF is so great. Being the only Browser with it makes it a very easy 10/10
---Now here is where it hits a speed bump, FF's search capabilities are probably the worst out of all web browsers out there... and i have yet to find a fix for it. Just go to google instead... 3/10
---Here is another speed bump. FireFox is lacking in how userfriendly it is. Frankly, I would only suggest it to people who know hos to use it already. Using FF to its full potential(which is so far unreachable) is one of the most dificult processes out there and earns an F with 1/10
ANd finally, my favorite, Chrome:
---If you thought FF was fast, then Chrome is like a Rabbit combined with a cheetah, on ice, bald, with a jet pack, driven by a caffeinated fighter pilot... yeah... 9/10
---Customizing Chrome on the other hand is non existent from what I can tell but I will say that it looks so nice that I haven't had the urge to look for a way to customize it. I give it a 7/10 in that area because I don't feel it need customized
---OpenSource is something I wish it had and would seriously make chrome the best browser ever but it's non existent so yeah
---Now here is one of the reasons I love Chrome. Its Address Bar doubles as a google searchbar. so no matter what sight you are on, you just type in what you want to search for in the address bar and googlesearch does the rest. Its search capabilities are 10/10 and thats being modest lol
---Chrome is also one of the easiest browser to use. Everything is straight forward and in a very simple single bar on the top of the screen. That combine with its top page homepage. Makes visiting the sites you go to the most as simple as opening Chrome and clicking on a simple 1.5x1.5 inch box on the screen. Chrome beats out any and every webbrowser that I have tried (including Safari) when it comes to being user friendly and earned its nice 10/10
To summarize.
I.E. Overall Score: 3/10
F.F. Overall Score: 7.5/10
and G.C. over all Score: 9/!0
If you want to give Chrome a try (which I highly suggest), you can find it here:

Thank you for your time
Please, have your brain scanned before you try to help an idiot... just to be sure that you, yourself, are not an idiot...
one idiot helping another idiot just proves deadly
This has been a, Lord Shifter, public service announcement, Thank You
I use FireFox, and I don't have search bar issues... My Google search bar is always in my right hand corner... And for how user friendly it is, its easy to use it for a first timer but the adding on of stuff is something easily learned.
The best line from all of the Lord of the Rings movies
" Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!* "
